14s Black Head Coach
bio
COACHING EXPERIENCE:
I started coaching Club Volleyball in Atlanta where I coached 16s for one year and then 3 years of 18s. I then moved to Duxbury where I have been coaching at the high school since 2013. I am currently the JV coach and assist the Varsity Team at Duxbury High School. This is my first year coaching with MGA. I am coaching the 14s Black Team.
PLAYING EXPERIENCE:
I am from Michigan. My hometown’s volleyball team started in 9th grade (still middle school back then), so I played 1 year of middle school and then 3 years in high school. I then went to University of Michigan where I played on the Club Team for a season (believe it or not the program was still getting started back then). After college, I moved to Chicago and played a ton of co-ed through Chicago Sport and Social. I also played some co-ed in Atlanta which is how I got my first coaching gig. Most recently I played in a women’s league locally, but unfortunately that disbanded a few years ago. Now I play a little pick-up with the teams I coach and with my kids who now both play.
FUN FACTS:
My family is made up of my husband MIke and my two daughters Mia and Sophia (11 and almost 13). We are all totally hooked on Volleyball and love the sport. We have a dog named Ruby (she’s a 6 year old super mutt) and a new guinea pig named Peanut. As for something interesting, my other job is a luxury travel designer for a local company.
