Once a commitment letter is signed, no refunds will be given, unless for medically verifiable reasons. In addition, if a family decides not to fulfill their commitment to the team, all fees must be collected.
All players must agree to the
Code of Conduct Agreement
We are ALL on a team together and must all do our part to keep the team strong. Parents are required to review the Player-Parent Handbook below.
You will be required to acknowledge the official terms contained within as part of your player's team acceptance agreement.
1. I understand that my child is accepting a position on an MGA Team and will follow the code of conduct rules and expectations as outlined in the form provided
2. I will treat all MGA teammates, coaches and parents with respect.
3. I will not engage during practice or tournaments and will respect all opponents (players and coaches,) spectators, officials, and facility staff
4. If there is an issue with another teammate, coach or player, I agree to allow my child to address first with the coach. If a satisfactory resolution cannot be found, I agree to speak with Coach Fabian or Sarah.
5. I understand and have read the MGA refund policy.
6. I agree that if my child is found in violation of the code of conduct especially as outlined regarding drugs and alcohol, it will result in strict disciplinary action including likely dismissal from the team and loss of USAV eligibility. In case of dismissal, there will be no financial reimbursement.
7. I agree to meet my financial requirement in full.
8. I understand that the decision of the owners (Fabian Ardila & Sarah Ardila) will be final in these matters of probation or dismissal, and agree that they reserve the right to use their discretion on a case-to-case basis.
9. Playing time is determined at the discretion of the MGA coaching staff and is not guaranteed. We do guarantee a regular role for each player on the team.
a. A regular role means that the player will not be a bench player and will be involved in games
b. Playing time is based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, a lineup for each competitionthat will lead to success on the court. Playtime is a very complex determination. It includes the coach’s opinion, the athlete’s ability, the athlete’s potential, the team’s needs/game strategy at the moment, the momentum of the game, the number of subs remaining, and the team’s needs for the future. The coach will not be required to defend his/her thought process or conclusions in these determinations, and it is improper for a parent to make such a request.
10. Communication with coaches: I agree to copy sarah_ardila@yahoo.com on any issues regarding compatibility, team dynamics, or questions about behavior.
